This is my fourth Pic. Finally there is a locking mechanism to hold the pick in place. Not sure about the motor...flow is stronger on high but it sounds as if it is a poorer constructed unit. We shall see.

I bought this unit because it is run by electricity rather than a battery, and it has a large water supply, encouraging me to use it for longer periods of time. My dental hygienist commented on a noticeable improvement in my teeth...lack of staining along the gum line...which she attributed to this product along with my daily oral regimen. My teeth are close together, retaining lots of food particles, which water pic removes better than floss!
