MOULD ON THE HAND HELD

Hi, This is my second unit that I purchased and I am disappointed because of the mould build up on the handle. I had the same problem with the first unit where mould was building up inside the hand held unit. I thought that the problem was that I did not extract the pick from the hand held. When I purchased the second unit I always removed the pick so there would be no mould build up. Unfortunately the mould is there. I have a picture of the mould on the hand held but it would not attach to this review. I can send you a picture of the mould on the handle. Please send me an e mail address if you would like to see the problem.
I feel very uncomfortable using this unit because of the mould. I also purchased a kids model for my grandson and will check out the unit the next time I visit him.

I purchased this a month ago and am very happy that I did. I've been told for years that I should get a water pik and wish I had listened a long time ago. This works to get every single nook and cranny in and around your teeth leaving your entire mouth and gums feeling very clean. I love that my product came with 5 heads to choose from, each of them for a different feeling of clean.
My dentist says my gums look healthier now and she is happy I am now using this product.

I had not used a water pik before I purchased this one. I knew that the water pik brand has a good reputation, so I decided to order one at my periodontist's insistence. This little fella is really great! It is easy to use, cleans up well, and it really does a thorough cleaning. It took me a few times to get the hand of it , but I can now clean between the gum and the tooth easily, and clean under the gum line. Having the flexibility to adjust the water pressure is a nice feature, too. If you must use a pressurized water system, then the water pik is the way to go.

Horrible design and quality

This product lasts about one year then holder for handle starts cracking and unit seals start leaking from bottom. Customer service will have excuses but just a bad design and cheap materials. I have seen a downward spiral for waterpik. Lost 40 year customer.

Cheap Product

I bought this unit about 4 months ago, and after 2 months of use the button that controls the water flow has become stuck in the off position, rendering the product completely useless. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this product because apparently this is an issue with most units. I would have thought that WaterPik would have changed this or made a better product by now.
