My hygienist has been telling me to get a Water Pik for two years, and my excuse was that it would take up too much of my limited counter space in the bathroom. Then my wife fell and ended up with a cast on her hand and wrist which prevented her from flossing. After discussing various options I mentioned that the Water Pik can be used with just one hand. We bought it on-line and two days later we were using it. I did a number of tests to see if it worked as well as my sister-in law said it would. I double flossed, brushed my teeth with a SoniCare electric tooth brush and then Water Piked for about a minute. I was amazed at the amount of junk that was still in my mouth and washing down the sink drain. Highly recommended and it really didn't take up that much at all.
I Bought this product for my child with braces, so far it has been a lot better than flossing with the standard orthodontic flosses. Get the food out between teeth.
The one thing that makes this waterpik different from my previous one is that I can easily adjust my pressure with a turn of the dial from 1 to 10 which is GREAT!!
