This is a great supplement to regular tooth brushing. Use it prior to tooth brushing so that the teeth will be free from debris. Good for those with dental crown too to ensure no particles are left in the junctions and crevices.
I don't like the new WaterPik at all. Too many auxiliary items included that most people won't utilize. Storage compartment on top of unit is clumsy and in-needed. Wand sticks up in front of unit causing operator to be vigilant or the full reservoir of water will hit tip and spill. Poor design.
My periodontist recommended I buy the WP-100 so I could clean below the gumline and under the teeth. It seems to work well - I can feel the water stream getting in there - but time will tell. As a floss replacement, I love it. It's odd at first using it, with the mouth open and water flowing/splashing out into the sink. But it feels good. My only quibble is the noise. Good grief! I use this in a small half-bath; that only magnifies the sound of the little motor. It'll probably be many years if not never before I replace it, but Waterpik really ought to sound-insulate this little bugger a little more effectively.
Works as well or better than the old one. Had the less expensive model before that was too noisy and motor danced around on the counter. The WP-100 is perfect for our needs.
I knew how good this waterpik is frim the time when I had my braces. And this new one has vetter things it's less heavy and noisy. I'm very happy with it
Have had this for about a month now, was recommended by my dentist. It is easy to use, and you can feel the difference! When "flossing" with this, you can feel the water between the teeth, and where I have a bridge. Quite happy that I purchased this.
