The first one I bought lasted less than a week. It just seems cheaply made and I don't feel it will last long. You get water all over the place running down your hand as you use it. A pain having to unplug after each use and how long will plug last having to unplug after each use and plug in again before using. Can't see much difference but time will tell if it lasts that long.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was reluctant to use this product at first, even though my dentist recommended this to me. It was hard to process how water can floss better than the regular way of flossing. However, I said I will give it a try and soooooo glad I did. Because my teeth are sensitive and I have a bridge in, it effectively floss well between, underneath my bridge and hidden places I cannot reach with dental floss. I love my water pik. It kinda massages my gums while flossing.
Had a handheld unit that was losing power and ran out of water quickly. Really like the tank and ability to adjust spray to a harder setting for stubborn areas.
