I bought this Waterpik after buying the Phillips sonicare air floss pro which was not what I needed. I have been using this for 3 months. The Waterpik has a reservoir that holds water to provide a continuous flow of water which dislodges little food particles. Just brushing my teeth anymore was not doing the job anymore. Brushing, flossing, and now adding the Waterpik water flosser completes my dental hygiene regimen at home beautifully. It also massages the gums to prevent gum disease. It comes with several different tips for different purposes and you can adjust the force of the water flow to your desired needs. There is some noise when in use but it is not so loud as to wake anyone. I have one set of teeth that I want to keep as long as possible so this investment is worth it to me. This product is exactly what I was looking for.
