So, I will be the first to admit that flossing is not my forte. After someone at my dental office recommended me this product, I read the evidenced-based research to support this product. Immediately went to purchase this product and fell in love. I use my Waterpik EVERY night. I just see all the food and particles come onto the sink from when I missed using string floss. I believe this product is a wonderful additiont to my oral healthcare routine. I feel as though I might as well be Waterpik's sponser with how much I recommend to my family and friends!
I have had this model before - this is my third one. It's the only water pick I can find in the stores. The first one I had to throw away - mold in the unit after using for awhile. The second one died after about 6 months. We will see how long this one will last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry that this happened. Running distilled white vinegar and warm water through the handle and unit regularly, as recommended, will prevent the issue by breaking down any buildup that may be accumulating. Here is a link to our cleaning blog that has detailed cleaning instructions:
I bought this aterpik about a month ago. As well as my Hygienist berating for not regularly flossing..., the TV advertisements made it seem a good idea. Early days yet - but will I fall off the cart like I did with my exercise and weight training?
I've used electric toothbrushes for years but my dentist and dental technician suggested adding the Waterpik to my daily brushing routine. I probably should have done this years sooner but can now see the additional advantage of using the Waterpik.
