The Waterpik is a great device for cleaning teeth. The only problem I have with it is the hose that connects the machine with the actual mouth hand piece. It have too many moulded curves built into it. My last one broke off at the sharp curve right below the hand piece

I bought the product three weeks ago. It was suggested that I get a water pick because I was having oral surgery and would need the assistance of the pick during my healing period. I have never owned one before and did not know what to expect. Here is my experience as straight forward as I can offer it. The unit comes with an assortment of attachments for cleaning along with the suggested use of each one. That's great! I like the product notes that come with it. The fluid capacity and force of spray are sufficient for all the needs I have for cleaning my teeth gums and mouth. It cleans very well. It is compact and does not take up much space on my counter. However I have to use it somewhat sparingly due to the noise it creates when in use. It is very, very noisy. I compare it to a lawn mover running in my bathroom. Because of this, I can not use it at night after my wife has gone to bed or early before she awakes. The workmanship could use some improvement as well. There is a flow cutoff button on the handle which does not work well. I have pushed the button as hard as I can and the flow still leaks out. So much for the pause button. I am considering taking it back now that I am on me feet again. I don't believe this is what I should expect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an amazing unit. I was accustomed to using the rechargeable Waterpik and this is sooo much better, I can't believe it! The adjustable power dial and pause button are so convenient. I use it 2+ times a day with plain water or water mixed with mouthwash. It's very easy to clean and has many additional accessories that fit inside the lid. I had an electrical Waterpik/toothbrush combination 45 years ago. It was terrific. The improvements with the power dial and pause button make this one my very favorite. It really blasts the bits of food from beneath my bridges.

Unit has worked well and does what it says it does
Would like most to see the water reservoir about twice the size. Quieter would be nice too. It's quite loud. Also the lid w/storage should snap shut and stay closed. Otherwise I like it.
I bought this about one month ago to replace an old (15-plus years!) Waterpik that only needed replacement due to the coiled hose connection between the base and the handle that became brittle and broke. This new unit is quieter, has a transparent water tank allowing you to judge how much time is left, and has more (and covered) storage space for tips in the tank cap. Nice upgrades over the old model.
Do you want clean teeth and plaque attacked (as in held in check). Just do it ! Easy to use (yes, easy, or you are too finicky). Got pockets ? or beginning pockets? What are you waiting for. (used to use the s...care flosser - think about it ! stop fooling' around) The real deal :) Don't look at the ratings (silly). Read my lips (yeah, I say my gums) - get thee to this device!
