Well, I'm not a good reviewer; I may tell you that I use your machine every night - just before going to bed. I think it works fine - just a bit noisy, and noise is rather unpleasant; I think I would have liked it better if it sounded differently (not like an old diesel engine; by the way my previous car was Golf TDI, and it sounded great :-). Apart of that many thanks; I rather enjoy my WP-100
First waterpik ever, so really nothing to compare it to other than the one in the dentist's office--thus the one star less than perfect.
Took me a few tries to get used to the 'drainage' but now managing not to soak my shirt.
For the most part I enjoy the sensation of cleanliness in my mouth--quite different from flossing and brushing.
Only small problem, other than drainage, was forgetting the switch on the waterpik itself when I first tried to use it---just out of the box I knew it was not the waterpik but me missing something---and of course I looked not at he waterpik hanging from my mouth, but the component on the counter. Had to laugh at myself.
I like my WaterPik WP-100. I preheat the distilled water in a pyrex container in the microwave, and use the pik made for gums. The only problem I have is keeping the pik at the recommended 45 degree angle to the gums, especially in the back of the teeth. A pik designed with that 45 degree angle would make cleaning around the gums more easy.
I wish I could give this thing a negative 10. I was looking forward to using my second one. I had my last waterpik for over 2 years but unfortunately my puppy chewed the wire. I rushed and got myself a new one because I loved it but I decided to get the Ultra thinking that it would be better. I wad so wrong... this thing doesn't even work! I'm so upset, I read all kinds of positive reviews but ignored the bad ones. DO BETTER!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
