Change NOT for the better

We have bought several of these balls for our aggressive chewer girl. They lasts about 6 months...we were good with that. But...you changed the design. Previously there was a little round plug...when she chewed on the ball, that popped out (we threw it away) and because the ball had some give...it lasted longer. You took that plug away and now the ball, immediately, busts at the seams. Two days and it’s garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for your review of the CHuckit Ultra Balls. The plug that used to be there was removed for safety reasons to protect your dog. We are sorry that you are disappointed but this toy was designed for fetch in mind and not for chewing. The Chuckit! Fetch Ball and the Chuckit! Whistler are not fully sealed if you would like to try those as an alternative. Best ever! After 6 months not been lost or chewed!

The dog loves this ball, he usually destroys most balls or loses them. This is visible, easy to find, and very durable. The best!

Don't leave in the sun

They are much more durable than tennis balls. My lab destroys a tennis ball in just a hour but these have lasted a few days so far and still going strong. They don't do well when left in direct sun light. I left one on the porch today and it has faded to a beige color in just one day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

At least only poor quality

We use the Chuckit balls for several years. We were always convinced of the super quality.
In the last four weeks we bought two balls. Both were destroyed after 2 days. Reason: Material error or production error in the seam. Thumb down! That's not the quality we've known so far. One star is only for the poor quality at least!

Durable

Got our Dalmatian this for Christmas and she loves it! Carries it all over and hardly let’s go of it. Her favorite toy. Very durable chews on it constantly. It did dent in for awhile then healed its self!

Not durable at all

I purchased the large version today for our 9 year old black lab. We had a fun time for about an hour before the ball "popped" where the blue meets the orange section. Our dog was then able to pull a nickel size hole in the ball. We are really disappointed in this version. We had an old one a neighbor gave us which is still going strong. Not sure if this is a design or manufacturing flaw.

I bought 2 of the XL size for my husky who is only around 50lbs. Smaller than recommended for the xl, but he is a chewer. He had both popped on the seam within 5 minutes. Is there anything more durable in that size that's launcher compatible?

My dog choked to death

I need to write this review to spread the word. Today 9/12/2025 our dog choked to death from one of these balls. We have always bought these balls as it’s something that lasts longer for our Shepard’s. This morning we went through our same routine he had the ball and then suddenly he was gagging and foaming bad at his mouth, that is when i realized he had the ball lodged in his throat. It was lodge to the point we were unable to get it out. we couldn’t get it out the police couldn’t get it out and he passed. It was too late. I’m saying this with a broken heart please just be aware if you purchase these and to be safe buy the ones that are bigger.
