[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This weighted vest is great to enhance your workout. It adds resistance and great for strength training. The vest is comfortable to wear and the material is breathable which is a bonus! Affordable, well made and perfect for your workout needs.

I got this for when I jog, I got the 8lb one. Starting out slow at first, it's great it fits my shoulders and chest well doesn't feel too heavy! Takes a bit of getting used to as with any new workout item. It doesn't make me super hot while wearing it either.

Gentle way to begin core strengthening

I got the FITRX WEIGHTED VEST at the advice of my physical therapist to increase core strength and help relieve back pain. I was reluctant to try as other suggested methods, such as 2lb weights on my ankles in a pool situation have actually increased my pain. Now that I have started using the vest, I wish I had just started with it. I am currently using 8lbs of weight which is strategically places as not to shift around during activity such as walking, hiking etc. No! I am not hiking! I have been using the vest for approximately 6 weeks, 3 or 4 times a week x 2 or 3 30 minute sessions. I am working towards longer stretches/more days. I do expect to see improvement in my core strength, as I am already finding it easier to do. I like the way the vest fits, kind of like an X on my upper body. It is made of neoprene and seems to be a breathable material and doesn't cause me to overheat. There's a pocket to hold your phone or money, something small you might need while out walking. This might be a workout/strengthening routine I can continue as it doesn't really impose much on my life, and unlike riding bike, lifting weights etc., does not cause an increase in pain!
