I regret buying these cameras. Very little technical info available that would have caused me to continue shopping. Very power hungry, no way to know if it's turned on and working if its outside of cellphone service. The only think I like is how quickly it takes a photo on detecting movement.

I purchased two lithium rechargeable battery packs. One for each of my Defend cameras. I can monitor the battery level from my Defend phone app, and when they're almost depleted I can swap one out for a fully charged one. I'm going to get one more and keep charged so there's no down time swapping batteries.

Battery has stayed charged and powered the camera for a couple of months so far. Waiting to see how it handles winter shorter days and cold temps, for several years
