A little difficult to clean because of the long handle, however draining a pot full of soaked beans using both handles while holding onto the lid makes it easy to use. I'm glad I bought it. I purchased this and the 6 qt pot. Like I said on my review of the 6 qt pot: they made my old pots and pans jealous. So, if I find a scratch or dent in either of these, I'll know who to blame.

If you cook something in this saucepan, and then pour it from the pan, the hot liquid will dribble down the side of the pot and splash onto the countertop. It is a burn hazard. It can only safely be poured over a sink. I’ve never had a saucepan with this flaw, so it was unexpected and dangerous. Once the pot has been used, Tramontina will not refund your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
