I am currently working on this set and boy, it’s a pain in the butt. Not fun at all bc nothing stays on securely. You get one piece on and another falls off. They seriously should have to do refunds or something at this point. Looking at the reviews, looks like I’m not the only one…not even close! I have done sets like the Twilight one with more ease! This one was supposed to be a fun Christmas gift from my mom, now I’m wishing she had given me a more enjoyable gift, maybe a slap in the face!
I did not really enjoy this build - pieces keep falling off and hard to get them back in due to the pliability and angles. It does look very nice and perfect for the festive occasion, but I pray each time I touch it more pieces don't fall off. It's hard to see where they go back in.
This is a good set, but not for playing. I have 2 of them and they look great as a decoration for my mantle piece. So it looks nice as a decoration, but is not a good LEGO for playing.
Ever since I put this together, I thought of a way to actually have lights on it. However, with the new Smart Brick system. I will have to buy more of these and put the light up bricks on top.
This was a pretty Christmas set. I gave it to my daughter, who is intellectually challenged, for Christmas. It was her first set of Lego. She absolutely loved it! The great instructions made it easy for her and made a wonderful centerpiece for our dining table.
I've never had this problem before but the pieces wouldn't lock securely. The pieces kept falling off the base. They didn't seem to fasten to the base well. Very frustrating.
