I'm very happy with the Skin 7i Aura notebook. It's light, runs cool, and attractively designed. The keyboard feels great for a computer this size. The screen is bright and the graphics look good. It's almost instant on and the battery life meets my needs. The processor is fast enough that I don't notice that it's not a full i7 power hog. I've yet to find anything that doesn't meet my expectations, which is to be my companion PC for browsing and surfing the Internet. Two thumbs up.

But OMG Windows11 needs to die in a fire! Within 2 days of ownership the computer got locked in an update BSOD loop, requiring command line shenanigans to fix. Numerous online reports of the same thing across multiple different manufacturers, so it's not a Lenovo problem. The latest version (24H2, update 2025-02) just breaks things. The whole reason I got this computer was because of Win11 update problems on my old HP laptop that I'd upgraded from Win10, so to have it happen again on a brand new computer is just not good. Anyway, even after fixing it there are still some problems with certain apps recognizing the camera.
I realize this is not Lenovo's fault, but please Lenovo get your drivers updated to whatever garbage Microsoft is shipping out the door untested! I was on the verge of sending this back, or attempting to down grade it to Win10.
I haven't used (or intend to use) the copilot/AI features, so it's a bit annoying to have a dedicated key for it taking up space - the function to remap that key seems to be grayed out in the settings.
The battery life is phenomenal on this machine (likely the efficient chipset). Speakers are great. Camera is crisp and hi-res. Ports are all good (nice to have full size HDMI and USB-A). The power brick is also decently compact.
2 very minor hardware gripes... No fingerprint reader, and the touch screen panel is not active stylus compatible, so you're stuck using a passive rubber tip stylus. I tried and failed to get it to BT pair with 2 different active styli. Not a big deal for me, but if you're a creative type who needs those pen/ink features, that could be a deal-breaker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much improved over a 6-year Yoga 6. The Aura features were confusing; there seemed to up to 3 ways to pull up copilot. Two versions were Lenovo editions and the third was from Microsoft. The Microsoft version worked best for me as the others only added more choices which all ended up just being a waste of time. Maybe the Lenovo copilot was for customers who could use it for business
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition is an impressive notebook that delivers on all the essentials for work and everyday use. I am impressed with its speed which is immediately noticeable from multitasking to running Zoom calls where it is smooth and responsive. The battery life is a standout feature; even with frequent video calls and productivity tasks, it easily lasts a full day and often stretches into the next, making it perfect for busy schedules.
The build quality feels solid and premium, yet the laptop remains lightweight and highly portable, which is a big plus for me as I travel a lot.
What really sets the Slim 7i Aura Edition apart is its gorgeous 14 inch OLED screen, offering vibrant colors and deep blacks that make both work and entertainment a pleasure. The 5MP camera is another highlight, providing crisp, clear video that you rarely find at this price point. Since it’s powered by Intel, there are no software compatibility issues, so everything just works seamlessly. Overall, this laptop offers a fantastic blend of performance, battery life, and premium features at an attractive price, making it a top choice for anyone seeking a reliable and stylish work companion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is heavy, not very slim, and really complicated to setup, and I cannot login without internet which is completely crazy, I might be returning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition after doing my research for light portable and powerful laptop. I use it for work and as my primary home computer and haven't had any issues using it. It's very snappy and has been able handle all the different software I use with ease.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a LENOVO user for several years! I even purchased a LENOVO Yoga for my wife! I needed a new laptop and after much research and review, decided on the Aura Edition. Great size, memory, easy setup, excellent sound and consistent with LENOVO's quality! I especially love that the keyboard lights up automatically when used. The only complaint is the lack of USB ports. I resolved that by purchasing a $10.00 USB Extender! All is good!
