I love my 3 vintage sewing machines but decided to dip my toe into the sergeing world. I am a total newbie. I purchased this 1034D for the price, good reviews and extra items included with the package. After watching several Youtube videos beforehand, I found it easy to thread at my first attempt. No problems. I oiled it up and made my 5 test strips showing all tension- setting variations.. My first try-out, a simple soda cup carrier made for a relative's walker, came out great. I was amazed at how fast it was completed. My elderly sewing machines may get a gentle nap more often.

Great serger for a beginner

I am a novice at serging and have found this serger is perfect. With more practice there is so much more to do with the 1034. Forgot just how fast serging could be. It's simple to thread. Easy to manipulate for the perfect stitch. I would recommend this serger because the price was right and the machine is worth every penny!

I have always wanted a serger and did a lot of research before I bought the 1034D. I'm just an occasional sewing, but I absolutely love this machine. Makes sewing so must faster and finishing looks so professional. Love it!

Best gift ever

I've been sewing for years but this is my first surger I was worried about learning to see with it even threading it looked intimidating but I've been able to thread it and sew very easy great product and the DVD made learning about the machine a breeze. Love it!
