Almost perfect edc companion

I have this little multitool for about 6 months and im very pleased, first due to the size of the pliers comparing to its body, it is a truly edc multitool. my only complain is the lack of a flathead screwdriver and the quality of the scissors otherwise i would give 6 stars. keep up the good work sog.

Nice EDC tool

I really like the little SOG Powerplier. The pliers were great so far and the handles are very comfortable to use. The knives are very sharp and blade shape is perfect for EDC tasks. I also tested the other tools for small tasks and all worked for their intended use, but I did not torture them so far. I did with the plieres and they worked great on coat hangers. The coarse side of the file works for fingernails and wood. The sciccors can cut through paper but its the weakest tool of all. The 1/4 driver is awesome. So simple and effective. I hope that SOG will provide additional tools or improved scissors in the future. Its a great tool for modifications.

A perfect design and tool set... but made in China

I was looking for a alternative for my beloved Victorinox Fieldmaster and I stumbled across this SOG Power Pint. I really love the set of tools that come on the PowerPint! All of them are properly useful and non are gimmicky. The size is also Bang on and fits in my 5th pocket (Coin pocket) on my jeans right beside my Olight Baton. I like the Pliers and the 2 blades are ground nice and sharp. I love the Philips driver and cap lifter. the File is a little on the weak side as far as abrasion. The issues come into play with the build quality. I do believe some reviews are a little harsh, but you definitely see that the chassis bends back and forth if pressed or the tolerances on the scissors hit the plier heads every time you open the Pliers. So i need to take a file and round that offs it opens smoothly. also the can opener sticks out a bit because the stop bar slot was not drilled low enough. These are nit picks, but I think if this was made in Taiwan or just better tooling in the china factory, these issues wouldn't be apparent. I still like the tool a bunch and would just tell anybody looking to buy the tool to go for it, just realize this isn't a SOG/Leatherman full size replacement. It is for EDC light duty tasks.

Since the Powerpint was released, I have kept an eye out for a sale that included the Pp and my patience paid off (plus free shipping!) I have owned Leathermans, Gerber products and off brand multi-tools, but none are as feature packed, compact and smooth opening as this one. I have been disappointed with paying full price for other tools that sit in my drawer at home, but with the built in pocket clip, this tool is one to be carried and worth buying at retail price.

It's a great tool except for the small flat head screwdriver. When trying to unscrew a small screw, the driver literally twisted. The driver was definitely made of poor quality steel. The rest of the tool has been great.
