Great in theory not in function

My summer job is working for a moving company. The knife blade hyperextends if roughly 5 pounds of pressure is applied to (typical trigger pull force) and the flat screw driver is now shaped more like a cork screw. I've contacted sog twice to resolve my issue.but haven't heard back from them. It's been a week.

Had this for almost a year now, got it at Costco so I got the nylon sheath to go with it. After a week of use however the soft side of the velcro pulled out and over time, it has just gotten worse and it barely stays closed anymore. The included bits that come with it are fine for extremely light use but if you put any amount of torque on it they slip in the holder at the top of the tool. The silver pins that hold on the plate with your angle measurements keep falling out and I just pop them back in by hand. After use in my fishing kayak without being submerged, they have accumulated rust around the screws and the wire cutters in the pliers. Good things about this multitool are the positive locking system for the knife and such, and the knife is good and sharp from the factory.

The latching system usually cannot handle the leverage and torque of basic applications. The force of application causes the tools to brake free from the latch and either move towards the closed position or, beyond the 180 degree open position and then the tool becomes lodged at some obscure angle to the device and then the tool is completely unusable at that point.... bottom line is, if you're looking for a reliable tool that feels secure during use, keep looking because this particular tool is not the one for you.

An excellent multitool, underrated by many

Let's make some justice to SOG PowerAccess... It is a tool, not a gadget. It works like a tool, looks like a tool and smells like a tool. It have no frills or fancy features. But all that is offered works well. Pliers are outstanding, period. Blade is good sized to work as companion for a pliers oriented tool. It is not a pocket knife, good to remember. All other tools are correct and works as expected. The lock mechanism works well. It is enough to keep the tools in place and safe, no issues on that. But the genius design is on the 1/4 bit driver. It simply works flawlessly and is so well made that makes me use that more than any other function.
I am a field technician and SOG is my multitool of choice.

I was gifted this multi tool and enjoy the tool, I never owned a SOG tool, I would carry as an edc tool, except I’m sending it back due to poor file. The file might as well be a spacer. It doesn’t have any bite or usefulness.

I used the flat head maybe 5 to 8 times and broke it on an adjustable tightening band for a hose. It wasn't even and extreme amout of torque. No other complaints.
