This fourteen-piece stainless steel cookware set has everything you need weather you are a seasoned cook or a beginner. With its tri-ply base it has exceptional heat distribution so using low to medium heat is all you need. I used the stammer basket to steam broccoli, the small frying pan to pan-grill some shrimp I also used that same pan to make the Alfred sauce. The small saucepan to boil some pasta. My pros and Cons are: Pros: 1. Easy to clean with warm soapy water, it is dishwasher safe (I prefer hand washing). 2. Oven safe up to 350 degrees 3. Stainless steel, it’s durable and heats evenly 4. It has a solid base and comfortable handles (love the shape) 5. Using the recommended low to medium heat the handles never got hot to the touch 6. The saucepans and stock pots have measurement on the inside and pour spouts. (love that) Cons: 1. The frying pans have two black marks showing the manufactures recommended amount of oil to use. I feel this information should be on a white card with the word “STOP Read Before Use” in red and on the back the instructions. It would be a great idea to attached the card where it can be seen like stuck or in the frying pan.

I used the set to boil, fry and saute. Kept the temperature. The pouring spouts on the sides were exceptionally helpful. As were the measurement indicators. Easy to handle. I love the fact that they are oven safe.

Very nice set for our gas range. I like that the handles do not heat up when cooking. I have another set of stainless steel cookware I purchased about 20 years ago and surprisingly, they are the same brand, Tramontina!

Handles of the lids get hot. Hope the small pot was wider not taller.

Just got them and was moving from old non-stick to stainless. First try was ground beef for sloppy joes. Heated the pan and when it was heated I threw in some beef tallow and it started to shimmer right away. Meat had been out for about an hour to warm up. It hit the pan and sizzled really nice. I just left it there for a few minutes, I turned it down to med low from med and backup again. It browned so nice and didn't stick and had some nice looking in fond. I pulled the meat out and blotted out the excess fat then put the meat back in with the Joe sauce and stirred it up and it de-glazed the pan really nice, put a lid on it and let it cook down on low. It was really nice, I was kinda scared at first because I have seen and heard the horror stories. Knowledge is key, very good experience.

Get you some bar keepers friend, an erasure sponge, small circles. I brought the pan with a stain in it. A horribly bad stain. Little bit of elbow grease and it'll go away. But I just see this being a magnet for stains.
