i always considered this saw and i finally brought it because i love dewalt and i was just curious. but its literally perfect i can move around the room with the saw on my hip and that works for me.far as power its does exactly what the specs say (can cut 2 by and perfect for plywood and other material with ease. i have no bad things to say but if you woundering do it actually cut 2x4s 2x6s or smaller yes it can

Works well but very limited blade options

Cuts good, but need some more blades, metal cutting abrasive, and diamond blade would be great for this

Could be better

Just bought today did not like that the blade guard is plastic, the rip fence is sloppy, The trigger lock is awkward as with all dewalt tools. The dust port has a friction connection that could be a problem with coming off. The top handle is uncomfortable to grip. What I think is the top handle should be more round and a rip fence that attached to the front and rear would give better control. The trigger lock should be on the top of the handle and the hanging hook should be on the opposite side of the blade. The center line is hard to see and there is no light or laser line which would be nice. A little overpriced for the features it has but it is very portable.

Good saw but flawed fence system.

I took delivery of this saw today. Out of the box the fence came skewed almost 3/16” from parallel to the blade. The fence is stamped steel. I don’t know if it’s a quality control issue or a shipping issue. I had to wrestle the fence side to side at 90 degrees to get it to resemble parallel to the blade. Also the fence knobs that tighten the depth and angles are too large and bumps into the body and the dust chute port, the only way to fully rotate them is to take the fence out of full depth and 90 degrees respectively. Really annoying given the cost of this saw.
Aside from that the rest of the saw is solid. I like the electronic stop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One small flaw...

I bought this for cutting oak fence boards. It does a good job cutting 1 1/2 oak boards. My only issue is the allen key that is attached. It’s to loose and comes off way to easy. Mine came off and is now MIA. Otherwise a well built tool and very useful when cutting especially in hard to cut places.
