Rather thick and uncomfortable. Green lights do catch your eye when sleeping. Does nothing to assist ultra watch sleep tracking.

Howdy JJIII,
Thank you for sharing your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your candor as we make every effort to improve the design and functionality of our product line. We certainly understand how important sleep is and how frustrating it can be to not get enough! If the sensor lights on your Galaxy Ring are too bright, you can adjust them or turn them off in the Galaxy Wearable app. > Galaxy Ring settings > Sensor Lights. The Galaxy Ring weighs 2.3 - 3.2 grams, depending on size, and is 2.6mm thick with a width of 7mm. Your Galaxy Ring and Watch Ultra can be a powerhouse combination when it comes to comprehensive health tracking, offering continuous monitoring, extended battery life for the ring, and the ability to charge one device while wearing the other. For your convenience I have included a few resources for your review. Be sure to check them out when you have some time. If you have any questions afterward or if you would like any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for choosing Samsung!

Perfect because I don't need watch to review my sleep patterns. Put the ring on and forget about it. No glitches. Up till now...don't forget to charge it though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Significant letdown
on February 15, 2026
Posted by: OC_User
from MA
I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Ring with high expectations, but unfortunately, this device has been a significant letdown in two critical areas: battery life and overall performance.
Battery Life - Major Disappointment
The battery performance is simply unacceptable for a wearable device in 2026. Samsung advertises multi-day battery life, but in real-world usage, I'm barely making it through a single day. The ring requires charging almost daily, which defeats the purpose of a convenient, always-on health tracker.
Key battery issues:
Inconsistent battery drain, sometimes losing 40-50% overnight
It just went down 10% as I was typing this
Battery degradation seems to occur quickly after just 12 months of use
What I Expected vs. Reality
I expected a sleek, reliable health tracker that I could wear 24/7 without thinking about it. Instead, I got a device that requires constant attention, frequent charging, and delivers questionable data accuracy.
Bottom Line
For the premium price point, the Samsung Galaxy Ring simply doesn't deliver. The poor battery life alone is a deal-breaker, and the performance issues make it difficult to trust the health data it provides. Until Samsung addresses these fundamental problems with a hardware or software update(and it had 2 or 3 updates already), I cannot recommend this product.
Would I recommend it? No. Save your money and look at alternatives with proven battery life and reliability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey there OC_User,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out and share your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback allows us to make improvements on our devices. We can understand how frustrated you may feel if you're battery on your device is no longer performing up to your expectations. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your eligible investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. To prevent damage to your device, avoid wearing other metal rings on the same or adjacent fingers, and remove the ring when handling heavy, hard, or abrasive objects. Please feel free to let us know if you would like to share any other feedback with us or if you would like further assistance after reviewing the resources shared below by contacting Samsung Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer.

Questions that needs to be answered and solved.

I just want to say that the smart ring is a great device for people who want to live a healthy lifestyle and have a wearable that's super comfortable with a long battery life. But my issue is with the limited workout options. It's not designed for workouts, but the only options we've seen from the live event and other tech content creators are the two auto-workout options: running and walking. It's fine if those are the only automatic workout options, but there should also be manual options (if it can't recognize other types automatically) for other types of workouts instead of just having two options. The hardware that the watch currently has is capable of supporting other workout types. So I hope they make an update before making it available to everyone. And one quick question: How does the case for the ring only charge it one and a half more times? If it's 360mAh and the average ring battery size is around 18mAh, 360 ÷ 18 = 20 recharges. They should also make the pinch gesture available not only for the new Fold, Flip, and S24 lineup but also for other apps like music or video, etc. One pinch for pause, two pinches for the next track, and three pinches to go back. I hope they make changes and listen to the reviews so they can improve things using their current hardware.

Galaxy ring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far everything is good but I have already noticed that the finish is wearing off. The functionality seems to be fine and I'm enjoying it overall. The Galaxy AI is neat to watch how it works. So far the Galaxy AI seems to be pretty accurate as well. I have noticed since wearing the ring VA the watch my step count has increased daily. Not sure if the ring is more or less accurate but as much as I move around I would say the ring may be more accurate.

Sadly not impressed

It works well for pairing, but overall I not impressed. My finish has already started to chip away in many places. The exterior looks and feels like plastic and isn't what I expected from the pictures and price. Previously had an oura ring, went to this for easy compatability but thinking I'll end up back to Oura ring given this isn't holding up well after only a few weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for reaching out, Travis. We appreciate hearing from our valued customers, and we noticed you wanted to share your feedback on the Galaxy Ring. Designed for all-day wear, the Galaxy Ring features an elegant, lightweight style made from titanium and is available in three scratch-resistant finishes. It combines timeless aesthetics with advanced wellness tracking enhanced by Galaxy AI. To maintain the ring's appearance and functionality, regular cleaning and maintenance are essential. When wearing the Galaxy Ring, ensure that the orientation indicator faces your palm, that it fits snugly with no gaps, and that you wear it on your non-dominant hand to avoid scratches. Additionally, avoid wearing metal jewelry on adjacent fingers, remove the ring when handling heavy objects, and do not wear it while working with magnets, as they may disrupt its health-tracking capabilities. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to hear more from you in the future! If you have any further concerns or questions, do not hesitate to reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Don't buy: you'll have to replace it within a year
on December 31, 2025
Posted by: David
from Denver CO
The long-story-short is, do not buy this ring, because it has one fatal flaw that renders it useless: battery life. I've had it for a little more than a year now, and for the first, say, 9 months, I loved this thing. It was comfortable, accurate, useful, durable. The app was excellent. But after a year... the battery capacity kept going down, down, down. Then it fell off a cliff. Now, after about 15 months, the ring doesn't hold a charge for more than a few hours. If I charge it before bed it's dead before I wake up. If you're willing to get a new ring each year, by all means order this. Otherwise, don't waste your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
