Battery/Trade-in

I love the ring but am very disappointed in the battery life. I have to leave it on the charger at least 12 hours for the battery to last through night. I use it to track my sleep and many nights it disconnects at some point over night. I'm also disappointed that Samsung doesn't offer a trade-in offer for their own ring. It seems suspect to me that the Galaxy ring isn't offered as a trade-in option.

Howdy Rich, Thank you for sharing your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your critiques provide valuable insights that will assist us with improving our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. We understand how frustrated you may be to have a device that may not be performing up to expectations. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Love the features...hate the battery life now
on May 20, 2026

So I love the ring itself and its features but the problem I have that I'm trying to work through is the battery life. It started off great but now it barely holds a charge for 4 hours 5 hours and then it's dead even though I'm charging it constantly. I'm not getting the full benefit of wearing on my finger all the time because I have to charge it like every 4 hours. I like the connectivity with my Galaxy phone and the features that it has but I really really would wish that it had a better battery life and I think I've already passed my 1-year warranty so now I don't know what to do. I'm seriously contemplating getting Oura ring now. I love Samsung and the Galaxy items but I'm really disappointed in that battery life on the ring. I wish I could trade my Galaxy ring to get an updated version with a better battery.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved it for about 8 months then it went south... Battery went from lasting a week to less than 24 hours, which is very disappointing. I'm hoping micro battery technology improves soon. Cost to repair is too expensive, you're better off just buying a new one. If Samsung can keep the price point low, having to buy a new one every year isn't terrible, but could definitely be improved

Beware of the rings
on May 25, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was one of the worst purchases I made. The ring stopped charging and when I tried to do a warranty claim, they gave me the runaround. As I started looking into the issue I was experiencing, it's a known issue with ring that samsung is very much aware of.

It's a Five, but the Battery Dies
on May 25, 2026
Posted by: Samsunglover
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung ring was about to be one of my favorite Samsung products of all time. It had a lot of versatility. It was very stylish and also paired really well with my Samsung ecosystem. The ring was used constantly to go to the gym, to go to work, and for sleep. However, the ring really disappointed me because as the months went by, the battery really started to degrade. It got to the point where I cannot use the ring for more than 4 hours in a day. On top of that, the case battery also dies really quickly. It has been 2 years since I bought the ring and it's collecting dust. If I try turning it on, it has about 2% and then it dies. It's so bad that I can't even connect the ring to the phone. I tried resetting and recharging, and then resetting again and recharging, and it still dies extremely quickly. Honestly, if this product were to change the battery and improve a lot, this would be one of the top Samsung products, but currently it's not there; it's not even close due to its battery problem.

I bought this to go with my galaxy watch and I'm very disappointed in the look of the ring. Honestly, could be a tin foil ring.

Hi there Unknown, Thanks for reaching out to share your thoughts with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your sentiments as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to suit your needs. The Galaxy Ring features a premium, lightweight titanium exterior with a concave design that tapers inward. It is highly durable, boasting an IP68 dust/water rating and a 10 ATM pressure rating. We have a few tips in regard to keeping your Galaxy Ring in its original pristine condition: * Clean the inner sensors at least once a week to prevent foreign materials from blocking biometric detection. * Use a soft, lint-free cloth. If exposed to lotions, sunscreens, or sweat, rinse with fresh water and a mild, soap-free detergent, then dry thoroughly before wearing. * Never use external heat sources (like a hairdryer), ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive materials, or compressed air, as these permanently damage the sensors and water seals. * Shield the ring from dust, ink, oil, insect sprays, and cosmetics. Take it off when applying heavy hand creams or sanitizers to prevent skin irritation and sensor buildup. * Remove the ring during heavy lifting or strength training. Pressure on the band can cause scratches, dents, or discomfort on your finger. * While the Galaxy Ring has an IP68 dust/water resistance rating, make sure to avoid high-speed water sports, scuba diving, or wearing it in saunas and steam rooms to preserve the pressure seals. Check out the resources shared below if you would like to learn more. If you would like to share any other feedback with us or if you would like further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thanks for being a staunch Samsung customer. - Debra
