poor design... bad quality... great picture!

Poor design: switching inputs on this monitor is quite an effort. The single control makes it tedious, requiring more clicks to get it done. Wish it had a dedicated input selector button. Not a problem if you only use one source, but I switch between PC and MAC.
Bad quality: only four months in, and I already have a few dead pixels. I also have an older model of this monitor, a few years now and no dead pixels on that one yet, so maybe just a one off.
Otherwise, great picture!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great monitor and vibrant colours/clarity

I have used this monitor for the past 5 months with a docking station. No hiccups, bright and beautiful display that’s easy on the eyes, especially with large spreadsheets. Video imagery is excellent with no observable lag. Highly recommended

Found out that there is a flaw on these monitors on LG website:

LG Electronics has discovered a potential “No Power” issue that may arise in two monitor models produced from October 2021 to April 2022. For the convenience of its customers, LG is offering free preventative service to replace the mainboard on the following models:
Production Year& Month: October 2021 - April 2022
Model Name: 27UP600-WY and 27UP650-WY
To determine the product date of eligible monitors:
1. Check for manufactured date: 10/2021 to 04/2022

The free preventative service is only being offered for above named models manufactured between October 2021 and April 2022. Finally, crisp text!

I'm not a gamer. I'm a writer and this is the only monitor I've found (and I have tried MANY in the past few weeks) that gives me text almost as crisp as on my M1 MacBook Air. I was close to giving up the search resigning myself to using my iPad on Sidecar mode when I needed an extended monitor.
If crisp text matters to you and you're a Mac user, this is your monitor.
It was super easy to set up and has great height adjustment, too. And the size, 27", doesn't feel too beastly on my desk. I was worried it would.
Very happy!

Grey Gradient is not ideal

This is a nice model generally. However, the one I got didn't show an "excellent gradient" which was reported by some reviews. What I noticed was that it couldn't display the details of the dark area in the pictures, no matter how I adjusted its settings.
Since it supports 10-bit color depth, I made a 1024 bar graph with 1024 different grey levels from 0 to 1023. This model cannot display the difference among the grey levels below 200, and showed a "jump" around 500, which means the gradient change around 500 is not smooth.

Love this monitor

I purchased this monitor for extending my MacBook screen. I have a 16' MacBook pro and this monitor worked perfectly on it. Before it was delivered, I was really worried since many people said the 16' MacBook will have a fan noise when connecting to a 4k monitor. So I tested today and played some videos . The touch bar part is reasonably hot and I don't hear any fan noises. There is a little bit of fan sound when I opened my IDEs, but it's not noticeable.
I like the 4k, the colors and also the price! This monitor has no built-in speakers but it's no problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This monitor is very sharp and has very good contrast and more than enough maximum brightness. Highly recommended. The height adjustment of the monitor arm can be improved as it does not go as low as I would have hoped for.
I would recommend this to a friend!
