The Right Solution

The Delta 2 is perfect for those all too often 2-3 hour power outages. Keeps the fridge, lights and fan going without cranking up the generator. Engineered to last, quick charging, and a well designed app.
Ability to add an extra battery makes it a great solution. The optional cover is highly recommended and keeps the unit clean between uses.
An impressive unit for any household.

Thoughts from a utility-scale battery integrator

Overall this is an excellent unit with plenty of features and options to customize how you want to use it. I'm personally using it for smaller devices so the 1800W capacity is nice but not necessary. New firmware updates have been brining even more features to the unit which is a plus. I tested the battery capacity and it exceeded the 1024 Wh stated capacity, so you're getting what you pay for. Also the LiFePO4 battery chemistry is far superior to other cell chemistries and is what utility-scale battery storage containers are using.
Solar charging works extremely well. I was using (4) 100W Ecoflow panels in the winter and was able to get about 395 Watts using my professionally mounted patio chairs.
Here's some of my recommendations to get the most life out of you battery:
- If you're storing it for long periods of time, maintain the charge around 40%.
- Most utilities set the charge settings to be 98% and discharge down to 2% and they cycle batteries almost daily. I'm not running my unit that hard but keep the 2% and 98% setting the same.
- Minimize the depth of discharge. Discharging from 100% to 0% will degrade the battery faster than discharging from 100% to 50%. If you're cycling the battery every day I'd recommend doing further research.
- Enable slow charging. It adds less thermal stress to the components and there's no point to use the fast charge unless you're in a hurry.
- You may notice it will discharge for a while around 0-1%. The same thing happens with grid-scale batteries. I would recommend discharging the battery fully, recharging to 100%, then discharging it back to 0% at least 2 times. This will help train the the battery control unit to be more accurate.
Other observations:
- The unit is fairly heavy but the carry handles are well built and I felt comfortable carrying it one-handed by a single handle.
-I use the unit for powering my modem/router and the UPS feature switches fast enough so they maintain power upon loss of AC to the unit. There is a very short delay (30ms I think per the manual) so critical non-capacitive loads may cut out.
- The fan is fairly loud/high pitch around the max output. Around 1000 watts it sounds like a regular fan.
- There is an 'AC Always On' setting. This will keep the AC outlet relay energized and will slowly drain the battery, even if no AC loads are on.

Perfect for what I was looking for!

I live in the mountains and regularly have power outages that last from hours to several days (longest was a week) and am often isolated due to downed trees or snow. I bought the EcoFlow Delta2 to help power some basic things like kettles to have hot water (tea, soup, oatmeal) and recharge my phone or power wifi. I have only used it once so far, but it worked great. The length of the life of the charge is determined by the amount of power that the appliance needs (obviously). But it would allow a small heater to run a few hours and the kettle barely used any energy at all. It charged very quickly. I bought this one as I wanted something that I could move by myself easily, and I wasn't sure I could do that with the larger options. I haven't used the solar panels yet, but am excited to try them. Overall, I am delighted and just have a more peace of mind having it.

Bought 2 Ecoflow Delta 2 units plus a 220w folding solar panel. I live in a hi rise condo that doesn't allow gas generators. The Delta 2 is perfect as it is quiet and safe. My balcony faces south in florida, so my solar panels get maximum sun exposure. Couldn't be happier!

I have this unit for two months now and it has worked flawlessly. I charge it with the Ecoflow solar panels and on a sunny day it charges very fast. I recommend this product.

Powerful and easy to use

Honestly happy I waited and bought this EcoFlow generator over competitors. With the LiFePO4 battery this generator will be around for a while. It's quick to charge, and some say it's loud, but I do t believe so. The interface is easy to use and the app gives you the ability to customize how the generator functions. I was able to watch t.v., charge my phone, and laptop for 4 hours and the battery only dropped about 30%.
Can't wait to take it out camping this spring!

Worth My Money

I bought the Delta 2 a little more than a month ago to help run my refrigerator and freezer in the event of an outage. I know it’s on the light end for this in terms of available power, but my plan was to buy another one and I will rotate them (Charge one while the other is running.) I like how light the unit is; light enough for my wife to move if I’m not there. I looked at another popular brand, but was concerned that my wife wouldn’t be able to lug it around, weighing in at around 60 lbs.
So far I’ve tested it with my coffee maker and my indoor refrigerator and it worked as advertised. It ran my frig for 9.5 hours before running out of power. The advertised recharge time was also accurate. I’ve not yet recharged it with my two 220w panels. That’s next on my agenda.
All in all, happy I made the purchase. Debating now if I’ll get another Delta 2 or try a Delta Max to get some extra power and longer run time.

I bought this a mont ago and I'm so happy I did it. The product lasts so long, I didn't expect it was this good. I feel extremely succesfull by chosing this product. I know Ecoflow has a bright future ahead compared to their competitors. As someone from the industry, their ecosystem is modern, well built, and bug free.
