Mini Flashlight/Battery Replacement

After removing the bottom compartment, place a needle nose pliers in both holes of the case (red) holding it steady. Turn the the flashlight and the case will “unscrew” up and out to access the LR44 batteries (4). Reverse steps to reassemble..!!

LP130 mini key chain flash light

The light works just fine until you have to replace the 4 LR44 batteries (enclosed in a clear plastic cover) in the battery compartment which battery pack is held in place by a plastic safety retainer with two holes on opposite sides of the retainer. You need either a small spanner wrench or a pair of small needle nose pliers AND a regular pair of pliers to UNSCREW the the plastic safety retainer (it is threaded on the edge). The regular pair of pliers holds the back part of light casing while the needle nose pliers are used to unscrew the safety retainer. Way too much work needed to replace batteries. Poor design. If you’re not inclined to replace batteries yourself…best to just purchase another lp130. BYW, the light will work without the safety retainer.

Good lighting

I like this flashlight. The build is solid, and its length fits nicely in a pocket.
I would have rated it 5 stars if it were lighter (weight wise, I mean). I also would prefer the first click to trigger the lesser of the two brightnesses. Finally, I can't understand any need for the flashing function. Why not use a long push to activate flashing? This would mean one fewer click to to cycle.

Who Turned Off The Lights

Loved this keychain flashlight right up to the point that it stopped working on my first use. I replaced the (4) LR44 batteries as instructed but it still would not work. Very disappointed, I bought it to attach to my trailer keys.
