Set up was not as expected. A lot more hands on, not every device connected automatically. After a week of using it I have noticed that the WiFi signal drops occasionally for no apparent reason on a couple of devices even though they are no more than 15 feet from the router. It only lasts for a couple of minutes then reconnects automatically. I never had this problem with my previous Orbi mesh router.

In upgrading form Orbi6 to Orbi7, the faster speed is significantly noticeable! My plan with Spectrum was previously 400mps and often got into the mid 400s. After setting up with a 1gig plan, I am currently between 1,175mps and 1,200mps. We stream quite a few movie services and HiRez music from Qobuz. Very happy!

I have been very disappointed with the functionality of the Orbi 770. it regularly drops the connection to the satellites and other items in our home and outdoors on our network, including my work computer which is about a foot away. Also, the limit of two satellites with the router is a real problem for me. I even bought two of the 770's so I could have the same coverage I have previously enjoyed for years from my Orbi RBR40 mini router with 2 indoor satellites and two outdoor satellites. We have only had our 770s set up about a week and we have to unplug them once or twice a day so they will reset and operate the network. If there is another solution to the problem I am having, I am certainly open to trying. Thank you.

Overall speed is terrific, upwards of 2Gig, and with fiber installed it's really fast. However, also various unpleasant issues: connections from satellites dropped for no reason, or connected to the farther satellite instead of the near one, or a laser printer that can't connect successfully due to some obscure issue ... I could go on. Bottom line: a solid mesh system but has its glitches.

I was notified that my Orbi Mesh WiFi 6E System - AXE11000 would no longer be supported so I thought I was upgrading. After installing the Orbi 770 Series Tri-Band WiFi 7 Mesh my WiFi connections are constantly dropping and connecting to weak satellites instead of the closest one. Wish I could go back.
