Best Service in the Sunglass World

Wow! I live in Florida. I keep two pair of the these exact glassed because they haven't gone out of stile in 15 years. I break a pair annually for one reason or another. I send them in to Maui Jim. A few days later I get them back good as new. This time I lost a pair. Called Maui Jim, they found my file, order a new pair, had them in 3 days! Great people to do business with!

My third pair of Banyans, first with readers. This style has always been a great fit for me and Maui's are just awesome. Readers don't interfere with normal line of sight and will come in very handy for fishing, reading maps and using my phone.

I like everything about them BUT they scratch easily.

I've had a several pairs of this model over the years, including the prescription version. I liked the fit and the light weight. However I am now officially giving up on Maui Jim glasses. All of them scratch much too easily. Within a year and a half, all of them had deep scratches which affected the clarity and usefulness. One of the problems is that the polarizing laminate is on the outside of the lens. You can see this when you look at the thin edge of the lens. Even though the main lens material maybe advertised as 'scratch resistant' for the prescription lenses in particular, the outside layer remains soft and prone to abrasion. Considering the cost of these glasses the final analysis - after many years and many dollars - is that Maui Jim's are just not worth it, I'm sorry to say

Wonderful product, Great Company

I won a pair of Banyans 10+ years ago and used them constantly. They have went on numerous winter vacations, canoe trips, etc and have been wonderful. After all those years of extensive use the lenses were starting to get a few marks so I bought a new pair of Cruzem Lava Maui Jim sunglasses. I sent my Banyans in and had the lenses replaced which was completed very promptly. I have to say that this Company is so friendly and responsive to correspond with that it is unbelievable. I would never think of buying a different brand now. Great Work!

Ordered Banyan Bronze HCL plus readers through my Optometrist who is an agent. They arrived promptly and are beautifully light to wear, which, paired with amazing lense clarity and clever +2 readers make them ideal for reading by the pool and for driving! Quality sunglasses that frankly make all my others redundant! Well done!
