Good upgrade for a smart home

I just bought 7 of these to replace the original detectors that came with my house. Wiring and installation was very easy, and other than a few minor problems scanning the QR codes where it was difficult to position my phone due to the location the Ring app install was straightforward. My only complaint (slash suggestion) is that it is the only Ring-controlled device in my house that isn't available via the Ring Alexa skill - so I can't create routines off of alert conditions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do not buy these

I installed 7 of these and they have been nothing but a hassle. They go off for no reason at all times of the day. We have had the fire department show up 3 times so far. It is also really hard to see, in the Ring app, which unit is causing the actual problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed with mounting angle

Unit was easy to install and worked very well with Ring App in terms of setup. However, disatisfied with the aesthetic orientation of the unit. Followed the instructions making sure the "A line" on the mounting plate was parallel to the wall but unit when installed on plate is at a 45 degree angle to the wall. The ceiling junction box used throughout my home did not allow the use of any other mounting holes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NOT wirelessly interconnected.

I assumed that since these alarms were smart and WiFi interconnected, that if one alarm goes off, they all will.
That’s not the case. They are only hardwire interconnected. Should have gone with the cheaper option that is wirelessly interconnected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If possible, reduce interference by relocating devices. If a device won’t re-link after reset, call 1-800-880-6788 so we can assist or arrange a replacement.

Smoke and carbon monoxide detector brand that can

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This detector was easy to install. It took me about 5 minutes from opening the box to replacing my old detector. Kidde has never let me down and I'll continue to buy their detectors due to their easy installs, value, and looks. Functional and reliable smoke alarm detector. I will however say that this thing is LOUD. Way louder than my old one. There is no doubt this thing will get you and your neighbors attention. But I guess that’s the point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an easy install. I disconnected my current kidde detector and it was an effortless replacement. Easy to hookup to the Ring app, that’s definitely a nice touch. Will be alerted of smoke and/or carbon monoxide even if we are not home. Great way to keep family and pets safe. I feel confident in this product. Kidde has never let us down.

Excellent and easy to use alarm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received compliments of Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I was actually ready to purchase 4 new alarms for my home and was happy to test this to see if it fit my needs.
I never had a smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarm and was a little intimidated by the technology. I found this easy to install, simple to swap the old one for this one. It really does most of the work for you. It connected easily and I love the fact it can notify me of any problems. I have purchased 3 more to replace all the units in my home

It's easy to set it up. Also everything you need is in the box. In dew seconds you can download the Ring app. The most important thing is that you get alerts for smoke and CO. What is the best in Smart alarm is that you never get falso alarms when cooking.
