Super Strong

Solid & Strong Heavy Duty Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This duct tape definitely has a different feel to it - in that it's less easy to tear, but that's also what adds to it's strength. It also doesn't curl while you're pulling it off. I plan to use it to patch some spots where a sealant we used on the roof is peeling back. This definitely feels like it could do the job and not be weather worn after 6 months.

It's the Best! Forget the Rest!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried a roll of 3M Extreme Hold Duct Tape to keep in exchange for an honest review. I am totally pleased with it's performance! It holds up much better that others I tried. It resists moisture, is weatherproof, good for outside or inside applications, and has very strong adhesion power. It has a unique feature that I love because I can tear both lengthwise strips and width wise without effort. I tore off a skinny strip to attach to a shoe liner on a sandal because it kept slipping off. Since it is a fabric, I didn't think it would bond, but it does, and very well. It looks neat, won't curl up on the sides and lays flat. I also tried it on a vacuum cleaner hose leak and it fit securely, neatly, and completely sealed off the hole! The plastic handle of my other upright vacuum that I use in my garage was completely broken in half. Hoping to save it, I wrapped this duct tape around the large curved crack and now I can push the vacuum back and forth like new! It reinforced it quite well. My black vinyl luggage seam was worn and torn, but this duct tape did the trick to seal and hide it. It sealed off my gutter leak nicely too. I am looking forward to using it on a few other things that I thought were damaged and unusable. The possibilities are endless! This 3M Extreme Hold Duct Tape is a must for my car and camping trips. I highly recommend this product to others for it's quality and endurance.

Strong tape

Overall, I found the tape to be very strong when compared to normal duct tape. It's an obvious choice when strength is needed.
The tape is very easy to work with and you can tear it with your hands like regular duct tape. The tape is very flexible and will fold to any surface.
The only issuer with the tape is its not much stickier then regular duct tape so it will still have issues when it can not be taped to itself. For example using it as a patch. If you wrap it around something when it stick to its self its excellent; much stronger then regular tape. I would recommend it for heavy duty jobs / fixes.

Decent, but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product free from 3M to evaluate. It's thick, and not easy to tear with your hands. It was in my garage to see how it would hold up against changes in temperature and humidity. Ultimately, it works about as well as other duct tape I have on hand...I don't feel like this is an "extreme hold" tape.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
