Strong and durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this a few weeks ago and it is extreme. It's strong and tough. The hold is exceptional and I would recommend that if you need duct tape, get this stuff t!

One tough tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M sent me a free roll of their “Extreme Hold Duct Tape” to evaluate and this is my review of the product:
This tape is different than the typical silver duct tape that has the shiny plastic backing. This one is black and has a more textured surface due to the heavier fabric it is made from. It’s more of a Gaffers or Duck Tape. (Google the history of "Duck Tape", I found it enlightening!)
This “duct tape” is not technically a tape for duct work, in that it comes with the warning “Do not use on flues, chimneys, mufflers or tailpipes.” That said, the product details do say it is good for 200 degrees, which I *think* is higher than the silver tape I have use on my own furnace work. My first impression is that the tougher backing will be less likely to dry up and separate like the silver tape does after a long time, so personally, I will not hesitate to use it in place of the silver tape. It also sticks to itself better than the silver tape, so should not unwap from itself as much as some tape does over time.
This tape has a gummier/sticker adhesive and the backing is more tear resistant. I noticed right away that it takes more effort to rip a piece off the roll, which is slightly less convenient but proves how much stronger it is! The good news is that it will rip straight across the roll and does not have a tendency to “run” down the length as some other tapes do.
This product is a very strong, multi-purpose tape with a waterproof backing. I recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 3M EXTREME HOLD Scotch Tough Duct Tape totally free from Discover 3M Online Community totally free for trying out at home and providing my honest reviews in return. This Duct Tape is made of double-thick adhesive layer which is an extremely strong woven material created for durability, and creates an extreme hold bond on contact.
I have been using this tape for doing my DIY Projects and long-lasting repairs at my Home as well as bundling large loads, reinforcing and patching. Also, this Duct Tape tears vertically and horizontally for versatile application, as well as resists curling for hassle-free use, which is very helpful to me. Also this tape stands up to challenging weather conditions for lasting performance and is very ideal for use both indoors and outdoors.
