Scotch works better.

This tape won't stick at ALL. It doesn't stick to anything including itself. This is going back! Don't waste your money!

Love this extreme hold duct tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 3M extreme hold duct tape for free for giving an honest review. First of all it is strong! Regular duct tape I can rip, but I had to use scissors to cut this one. My boyfriend was able to rip it but even he was super impressed with how tough it was. It is very sticky and very strong!

High Quality Duct Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M provided me with a roll of this duct tape to review. The tape is so thick and sticky - it's some of the highest strength duct tape I have ever used! I'm moving soon, so I used it to tape up boxes of books. The only downfall to this tape is that it's a little smelly, but overall I would recommend!

Very Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is definitely as heavy-duty as tape gets. Very thick and could probably hold a bit of weight. My only issue with it is the adhesive is not extremely sticky, so it doesn't have a good hold on all surfaces.

This stuff is terrible. As I used it, the backing continued to stick to the tape as I unrolled it, separating from itself, and turning into a mess.

Water Proof!

Are some of these reviews actually talking about the 2800 series tape! I live on the west coast of Florida where threats of flooding seems to be happening more often in the last few years. I discovered extreme hold about 3 years ago while looking for a solution to keep water out of my home. Nothing and I mean Nothing has worked better than this tape. I tape all my doors across the bottom and then about 2 1/2 feet up each side then burnish really really well and then remove when the threat has past. There is an art to taping and doing it correctly to get the best result.

Not happy it won’t unwrap

I have had this for a month. The first few wraps were just fine as it’s very sturdy and sticky. But today the wraps are stuck to them selves and it tares the layer underneath. Totally useless to me. I even tried to cut down a few layers to get a fresh surface but it’s still taring itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Crazy Strong!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M is always my go-to for any tape. The Extreme Hold Duct tape is thicker and even more durable than regular duct tape. I love that it can be torn both vertically and horizontally for ease when applying during a project. It's perfect for indoor, as well as outdoor use because it doesn't curl, even in different seasons/types of weather. I received the tape free from 3M to try but have a stash of different 3M tapes I have purchased. Happy to have this for long lasting, durable repairs!
