Great effective tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Scotch Tough Grip moving tape to close up moving boxes for books. It is very effective in easily closing up boxes and definitely does it's job in holding the box together in both the top and bottom.

Great for packaging boxes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this tape easy to use. Made packing my boxes much easier to do with the handy dispenser. I didn't use it for heavy duty boxes, but i feel confident that it would definitely hold heavier boxes together.

After A "Slow Start", It Was A "Moving Experience"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having received the product, I wasn't ready to use it immediately. However, when the time came to store some files, this was chance to test the new 3M Moving Packing Tape. It was instantly obvious that 3M was continuing to use the "tried and true" dispenser that has worked so well for us over the years. It was also nice seeing the blade warning cover. This reflects the 3M concern for consumer safety.
The one inconvenience was when we tried to "start" the tape - it split, which totally surprised us. Once we got past the "start strip" (carefully), everything went well. HOWEVER, we have used 3M tape products for years, so we know better than to let the stub end fall back onto the roll (keep it on the blade!). We knew it would be a challenge to "get it going again" with the splitting issue.
On the boxes, it adhered very well, and the job got done.

Strong and durable

Scotch Tough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Scotch Tough Grip Moving Packaging Tape with Dispenser to put a label on a jar. I knew it would keep water from ruining the writing. It went on smoothly, and, with the handy, sharp cutter edge I had no problem putting it right where I needed it to be. This tape is tough and reliable. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a strong, versatile tape that you can read through. No messy wrinkles or tearing to deal with. Very pleased with this tape.

Strong tape with an easy glide dispenser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I packed my grandmother’s delicate fine china dishes in a box to move them but I was afraid that something would happen to them. They mean a lot to me and I have very fond memories of them as a child. I couldn’t just use any packaging tape to seal my grandmother’s fine china. After reading that the Scotch moving packaging tape would hold 80 pounds I felt better and packed everything up. The bonus is you can pretty much use the dispenser one handed.
I do have some tips when using the packaging tape. I usually pull some of the tape out of the dispenser then put it on the box. I was wasting tape that way. When you first get the tape, put the tape over the two triangles on the dispenser. Near the blade that cuts the tape, there are raised lines on the side of the dispenser and that is where you put your fingers to hold the dispenser. You then can effortlessly pull back and the tape will glide on the box. If you hold the dispenser tight, it won’t glide like it’s supposed to. I included a picture of the two triangles on the dispenser and where to put the tape. Also, a video to show you where to hold it.

Excellent tape for moving or shipping!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received the tape it looked like every other role of moving or shipping tape but the second I put it on the first box I noticed the huge difference! This tape is thicker and holds WAY better than regular shipping tape! As I’ve moved a lot I started holding onto boxes to reuse but discovered I had a hard time keeping them taped shut as the cardboard had some dust/grime from prior moves but, this tape actually sticks to those old boxes and hasn’t peeled up at all! Highly highly recommend getting this tape if you are packing moving boxes or looking for a really reliable tape for shipping! I received this tape for free in exchange for my honest review but I actually am now buying a couple more rolls for my upcoming move. Two thumbs up from this frequent packer/mover!
