Truly No Residue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from 3M in exchange for my feedback. I was very pleasantly surprised with this duct tape. It proves it's claim by truly not leaving any residue, which is something I haven't ever seen before in a duct tape. The trade-off with not leaving any residue is that the tape doesn't quite have as strong adhesion as traditional duct tapes, however this one is still strong enough for most applications. I will definitely consider this tape for my next duct tape purchase.

Works Great! Super Sticky - No Residue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to use on a place that would need to be removed every month or two. In the past, "regular" duct tape would leave nasty, white residue behind. Would either have the scrub it clean and/or use chemicals to remove the dirty stickiness.
This product doesn't leave the sticky residue behind. Just what I needed!

Easier to peel off than normal duct tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve always be cautious applying duct tape due to the heavy residue and difficulty peeling the tape off after several days, but this tape leaves no telltale make and is easy to remove. The adhesion was just as strong as regular duct tape, which wasn’t surprising since 3M has dominated the tape and adhesives markets for a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I HAVE USED 3M NON RESIDUE DUCK TAPE TO TAPE OVER OUTSIDE AIR VENTS IE REFRIDGERATOR. HOT WATER HEATER. FOR WINTER SEASONS IN WISC.
AS A SENIOR DOING THIS BY MYSELF, A EASY ON FOR WINTER EASY OFF IN THE SPRING. NO RESIDUE LEFT BEHIND. NO GOOP NEEDED.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
YES IT COSTS MORE, BUT IN THE LONG RUN IT DOES SAVE MONEY & TIME TO REMOVE.
I HAVE HAD NO DAMAGE OR MICE
AS A SENIOR DOING THIS BY MYSELF, A EASY ON FOR WINTER EASY OFF IN THE SPRING. NO RESIDUE LEFT BEHIND. NO GOOP NEEDED.

This tape left residue on rubber gym floors after only being used for 12 hours. The residue did not come off.

very strong, removable cleanly.

I've had this tape for a while and find it very useful. It is very strong and removable. However, it clearly should not be used on weak surfaces. I can't imagine using it on many painted surfaces - too strong. Also, I wouldn't use it on any weak material. It comes off so cleanly from metal that I can reuse multiple times. The negative reviews I see appear to be using this tape for the wrong use.

I hate this tape

This tape doesn’t work. It was a waste of money, it’s garbage, it has zero adhesive power. 3M should be ashamed of the low quality tape that is being mass produced from their China companies
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Peels off paint

Placed small pieces on painted wood surfaces to mark where touch up paint needed, and when removed tape 1 hour later it pulled paint off with it- creating more spots needing paint.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
