First off, I hate painting, mostly because I always had to go back and do "touch-ups", even though I always used a painters tape. However, when I ran out of the "regular" tape, I decided to try Frogtape, thinking I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Well, I am now a firm believer, as this tape not only made my job a heck of a lot easier, but created clean, crisp lines! This is what I had always strived for, but always had difficulty accomplishing. Now, with the success and ease of Frogtape, I am now looking forward to painting other rooms. Talk about an about face! Thanks Frogtape!

I've never painted room before and I decided to really challenge myself by painting stripes. The frog tape gave me SUPER straight lines. Just remember on textured walls you do have to put in a little extra elbow grease to get the tape to stick in all the little crevices. I used a flat plastic thing to really push the tape into all the nooks and crannies. No one can believe I painted it myself :-) I also liked it better than other painter tapes because it is wider.

I hate painting period! I'd rather poke a sharp stick in my eye than have to paint. On the other hand, I like being able to complete my "honey-do" list as fast as I can. On my list repeatedly was to paint our bedroom. We have three angles from the top of the wall up to our ceiling.....(yes, I designed it and have only myself to blame.) I saw Frog Tape as I walked the isle of my local store. I tried it on each angle and absolutely love it. I'd love to shake the hand of whoever thought of Frog Tape. Wow, an invention that has actually shortened the time that I have to paint and so easy to use. Thanks Frog Tape people for saving my vision!

Doesn't stick to wood trim, or painted walls.
Has no bendability.
Poor adhesion caused major bleed through.
I had much better results with the cheap masking tape.
Does not work as advertised.
I will be taking the rest of it back for a refund tomorrow.
What a mess!

Not what they say it is

I found when using the green multi-surface Frog tape after taking it off the surface of my walls, which had been painted 8 months prior professionally, it peeled the paint. It does not leave a nice edge like it claims too as it still had paint bleed in spots. I found it really didn't work any better than any other painters tape. I now have to have my painters come back in to fix my walls. I guess that will teach me to believe their advertising and use it again to paint the rest of my trim. Waste of money.

Painting Lines On Fabric, Or Anywhere Else, Is A Test

I've previously written about my other uses for FrogTape and now, I want to address, how I use it with paint and fabrics. Clothing is important for a lot of people and they want to create their own visual picture. I have used stencils and directly painted on fabric with a brush, or sprayed it, etc. It has been very diluted or thick. When spraying, you can get the better clean, sharp, and even lines with less of a chance of bleeding, or keep from being over saturated on the fabric. Whatever you are painting, this technique will be similar with a tape such as this.
The most important aspect of painting, is to test an area or process before starting. Then, you figure out the drying time, and when is the proper time to lift off the tape. Every paint type and brand, not to mention even color, will be different. If there are layers, then weather can affect this also. Because FrogTape has repositioning properties and does not rip all over the place, it ends up saving time and money. My only beef is that the company does not have the other type available where I have seen it sold. The tape also holds down the stencils, which is important. It can be cut in appropriate ways to insure that placement will allow for the right texture and design, the first time. The five star rating is for versatility which is my main objective.
