a little bit overrated and over priced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The simple fact is blue 3m tape does just as good a job for half the price the thing people should know is you have to burnish the tape as you have to do with frog tape they say it will not remove old finish wrong I have been a professional painter for over 30 years it failed me and other painters I know by removing paint from surfaces it was to protect even after just being on 24hours 3mblue is my recommendation but keep in mind burnish all tape edges and remove as soon as possible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We go through a lot of tape. This has not only been used to help paint a room, but also hang kids' art work in our art gallery. The application was easy; and the take off was simple and left me with a clean edge. It's proving to be very sturdy, but not hurt surfaces. I love it!

Difficult to apply

Frog tape is now so thin it is challenging to apply, particularly in corners. Not worth the price or effort for slightly cleaner edges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ruined mounding! Peeled color off!

BAD: Wow buy this it’s the best??? I have faux wood crown mounding it TOTALLY took the color off! NOW WHAT! Paid WAY more money and got screwed DO NOT use
Of course there is no way to post a picture as I would!!! no way to fix without replacing the entire mounding so sad and mad I was duped and wasted money!

I truly wanted to NOT like this brand...

I felt a certain ambiguity about painters tape in general - it was better than masking tape but not as good as promised, across the spectrum of brands, just buy whatever is least expensive. So when I started hearing about FrogTape, it was mostly from Pinterest 'influencers'... you know, the ones who make you read their 3 generation lineage story to find the paint color used in their home. Where's Waldo but with word vomit. Anywho, I was just convinced that this green stuff was no better than all the blue brands, just more expensive. Had a little extra change burning a hole in my pocket in Lowes one day, picked up the green stuff 'just to prove myself right and all those influencers with the perfect coifs and perfect figures and endless budgets wrong'. UGHHHHHHHH!! As far as the painters tape market is concerned, in 2022, FrogTape is bullfrog-length leaps and bounds better than the competition. Well worth the price, comparatively. If ya can't rip it down 9minutes and 59 seconds after applying the last coat, it's least likely to rip the paint, least likely to rip and leave a green sliver, most likely to not cause anxiety and anger after 27000 hours of shoulder-agonizing rolling paint and wrist-agonizing cutting-in. Just get the FrogTape!

This is the first time I used FrogTape and I a impressed with how great this product works. I hate using tape before painting but I had to in order to get this wall painted correctly. Your product made the whole process better! I will be using the GREEN tape for now on… thank you!

Repainting my wife’s office at home was on our list of things to do. My wife wanted specific colors, but she also wanted an accent wall with stripes I’ve had issues with other masking tape where you could bleed under because the tape does not give you a sealed edge, frog tape was an option but I shade away at first because of the cost but decided to purchase anyway because I wanted to do the job right the first time. Boy I’m glad I did. The frog tape worked tremendously and the project came off without a hitch . Once again, you get what you pay for, so paying a little more for frog tape in my world was worth it. Thank you again for an awesome product.
