Frogtape and working with paper

The process of handmade cards can involve temporarily taping down items to reposition as you go along. The use of Frogtape makes the process easier as you work with the design. I tried it with 3 types of paper surfaces, some of which I had problems using other adhesives. One attempt was with a bronze/golden coated poster paper, which I attached to another matte card stock type that had a punched out decorative edge pattern. It pulled off both surfaces without taking off the finish, or leaving residue from the tape behind. The other paper was a thick textured yellow paper and I folded the tape over the creased edge. I also was able to work with it with no problems and the tape does not rip as you take it off the roll. It would act as a coverup for damaged creases, or added protection. Both tries were left on for the most part of a day. The type of paper surface which would be affected are those with overlays of thin strands, or porous/loosely constructed paper which shreds/breaks down easily. But as of yet, I don't know of anything that can help that situation anyway.

Halfway through the tape roll the tape does not stick!

On two or three seperate occasions (projects) the tape would not stick to the surface of the wall. I would get halfway and sometime more than halfway through the tape roll and it would not stick to the wall anymore. One time I was so upset I took the rest of the roll back to the store for a refund.

Good product and good price

Have painted rooms before with the top half one color and the bottom half a different color, but this was the easiest yet, using frog tape. I used a yardstick to measure a 36 in chairrail around the room and penciled it off every 2 ft, then ran the frogtape on top to each measurement until I did the whole room, in under 30 min. The top half was a light beigh color, and I did the bottomhalf a navy color. No leakage, it came out great. Would be great for doing school colors or sport teams colors as well.

My ceiling paint didn't chip!

I used Frog Tape for the first time this weekend. Consider me a convert. The lines were much cleaner than traditional painter's tape, but (full disclosure) not perfect. But better! I always have an issue with traditional painter's tape peeling off little chips of ceiling paint (we don't have crown molding). The Frog Tape didn't take any ceiling paint with it. That alone is reason enough for me to keep buying this stuff.

We were leery of all tapes until we tried Frog Tape. It is easy to apply to all surfaces, adheres well, removes easily and even seals on textured walls. All our walls are textured and we followed the instructions given on the website and the lines were clean without any bleeding into the other paint. That is the very first time we've had that happen and we're thrilled. We have managed to paint 90% of our existing wall space and using Frog Tape has made it quick, easy and the walls look beautiful. We wouldn't buy anything else. Great product.
