removed existing paint

I followed the directions on the packaging, tape was applied to the ceiling that was painted 3 weeks prior. applied 2 coats to the walls in 24hrs and removed the tape right away. tape pulled off close to 80% of the existing paint under the tape on the ceiling and now the ceiling has to be skim coated and repainted costing hundreds more. the line was nice and clean mind you but the extra work now is totally unacceptable. duct tape would have removed less paint.

Well...it definitely has good adhesion. So good, in fact, it pulled the paint off of my walls when I taped them off to repaint my ceiling.

High quality product

The greatest feature of this tape is that it does not pull off the old paint and does not leave marks on varnished floors. It is also very durable and at just the right width to use it for caulking bathtubs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality of this product. Highly recommend!

Follow Instructions

This tape works great but you have to follow the instructions for applying it. I would imagine those complaining did not thus their subpar results. I just used it on paint that’s only been dry for twelve hours (which does go against the directions) and it came out perfect. Definitely will not be going back to 3M. This is worth the extra money.

Didn't stay in place

I received this as a free sample to try. I wish I had better news but actually I was very disappointed with the results. I used it to tape off my Jeep Wrangler to use with a paint sprayer. The tape kept pulling away from the windows and off of the fenders. This caused lots of overspray and added work in cleaning up afterwards. So I cant recommend this product and wouldn't use again. Not unless the product is improved upon.

It works so good, that my brothers borrow my frog tape, from me and don't bring back the roll. I have to go hunt it down. And I yell at them, you get your own frog tape!!
