Won't stick. Horrible for instrument building.

I build mandolins. I tried this tape in the hopes it might be a superior tape than the more expensive Luther tape I commonly use. Wrong. It hates ebony and rosewood, laughs at maple and then will simply fall off in the slightest breeze. I clean my joints with acetone to remove oil and allow it to dry before gluing with titebond. The only time frogtape works is when I glue binding on and I use CA (super glue) glue for that. CA makes frogtape stick really well! Go figure.

This product did not perform well

I used this product to protect the new windows that were installed in November. ( as a note: I have painted interior surfaces many, many times over the years) I applied the tape 1/2 to the window frame and 1/2 covering a cured caulked surface, completely covering the caulked surface. I painted the surface that butted up to the window frame. After the paint dried for approx. 20hours, I removed the tape and found multiple areas where the paint had bled on to the caulked area. For this reason I would not recommend this product as it did not perform any different than a less expensive painters tape, that i have used in the past.

The Frogtape is awesome for it delivers greatly when working with small details and different types of paints at the same time. I have tried other brand tapes, but Frogtape supersedes all others for it holds, and it does not damage surfaces.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Painted the ceiling of a 16X44 room. After removing the tape the next afternoon (28 hrs) the tape had over 50 places the paint leaked through. Will take another 4 or five hours of work to fix this (Burgundy Ceiling Violate walls) and lots of coats to fix :-(. When painting a line that has to be perfect I guess there is no good product and using a straight edge is the only way. So the short of it is buy what is cheapest cause non of it will do what the TV say's!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I taped our outside lights' beveled glass before stripping off old paint and painting on the new paint color. Best sticking tape out there and I have used different brands.
