This is the best painter tape I've ever used

We remodeled our house and found frog tape a life saver. It gives good clear sharp line and eliminates the need of retouching the paint bleeds. It saved us time and money by delivering perfect clear lines every time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Badly disappointed

I am writing this about a recent use of your product. I used it to ensure clean, crisp lines on something that was being painted, and hoped that it would perform in the manner that it advertised.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Anywhere. The entire area that I was doing was badly edged, with large, noticeable runs of paint under/through the tape that was so carefully applied. There was barely even a single stretch of a single inch that didn't have this problem, indicating that the problem was not in application, but in performance. I would be forced to think so, since I have used blue painter's tape on previous similar projects; while there has been the occasional glitch, nothing to this degree. I will continue with what has worked in the past for future projects.
I would love to include a photo of the carnage that I will now have to repair, and try to explain to the person that I am doing this for why it is going to take that much longer, but that doesn't appear to be an option.
I will not be using your product again in the future, nor will I be heard giving it praise. It failed completely, and I was not only highly disappointed in how it performed, but angered at the additional work that it has now caused me to correct the issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent painters tape, does what it says

Did great for multiple colors, no bleeding. Easy application and easy removal, no paint peeling at all. A bit pricey, though.

Not worth the money!

We bought this tape to ensure crisp lines for a pattern we were painting. Some lines were fine but paint did seep under the tape in spots which meant we had to go back over those areas again with a fine brush. I put the frog tape away in its container after that project and got the tape back out to try it one more time for a simple project that just needed some masking of a window and adjoining walls. The second project was only 4 months after the first and the tape would not stick to our smooth clean surface!
I will save my money and just buy the cheaper painter's tape for future projects.

Wanted sharp lines, but didn't get it

I wanted to create a jersey stripe around me Steelers themed room and purchased Frogtape to get that sharp line. I had painted the room about a week earlier and everything was perfectly cured. I marked me lines around the room and taped them off to achieve the look. I painted my lines and couldn't wait to see the results. To my shock, every wall has numerous bleed through spots that I'll not have to go back and touch up. What a horrible disappointment. I had spent the extra money on this product to avoid this problem. Now I've got three times the work to try to touch up these lines.

Did not meet my expectations

Used to taped to make a border, previously have used masking or blue tape with DAP clear paintable, more work but always a clean line. First problem was the tape (just bought) did not adhere tot the freshly painted border latex paint dried for 24 hours. Second the paint bled through causing me to do the work again with the old true method. Can not recommend the price difference or lack of time reduction. I have been painting for 45 years, you need to work on your science before the marketing

Thank you for your review. The Multi Surface FrogTape is a medium adhesion tape and does not stick well to uncured paint. Fresh paint should be allowed to cure (dry) at least 3 days before applying the FrogTape to ensure the adhesive sticks properly. LOve this Tape, but I think I got a Bad roll

I bought tow rolls of the muti-surface FROGTAPE, One for each room I was painting. The first room was painted and the lines were so clean, I was very impressed, but the second room-BIG disaster. I was bleeding through onto the opposite walls and ceiling, I was doing a lot of touching up. So a HUGE thumbs up for the 1st roll but a BIG thumbs down for the second roll

Great product

I purchased Frog Tape (as recommended by another crafter) to use while painting barn quilts. Love the ease of use and have had very little issues with bleeding. The product is a little pricey but I'm doing small projects so it goes a long way.
