Got my hands on the NR83 Series Framing Nailer from Metabo HPT, I’ve only had it a day and I just had to talk about it. First off feels great in the hand well balanced and the rubber grip makes it easy to control let alone super comfy to use. The claw tip makes toe nailing a dream, don’t let the light weight fool you as it packed a punch in single fire and rapid functions which is super easy to switch back and forth. The extra large rafter hook is a nice touch, its wide enough to hook onto any 2x material and joists with ease not to mention how strong it feels not like some others out there. The easy tool free depth adjustment makes this nailer good for any application. It’s been cold in Alberta Canada lately and this nailer handled it like a champ.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the nr83a5s1 with the aluminum magazine and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion the magazine seems more durable than the steel magazine without adding weight. I took it to work today for the first time and all my coworkers agreed it feels really well built and seems like it could take a fall better. As a framer of 10 years all I've ever used is Hitachi/Metabo nail guns because it's a quality you can always trust and this nail gun is no exception

I’m a General Contractor in Southern Arizona, and we do all our own framing. Like most professional framing crews our trailer is full of Metabo HPT nailers. This specific one has all the familiar features of our “oldies” but all the new features… to make it THAT much better! Seriously love this thing. (Complete work horse!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This framing nailer packs a punch. No problem driving 3 1/4” nails in to lvls and normal studs. Nice to be able to switch from single shot to bump fire mode. I keep forgetting an Allen wrench to attach the hook but once I remember it I’m sure it will be great like the other nailers I have
Pros: Ease of use, Speed, Warranty, Dependability, Quality, Comfort, Durability, Reliability, Power
I just received the 21° framing nailer along with the new aluminum magazine! I work in the carpentry in the street and do a lot of framing there’s; nothing this gun can’t handle!! The POWER and the sturdiness just makes this nailer just so prestige. And don’t let me get started on the new aluminum magazine. Make the nailer lighter, easy to load plus the spring action means less jams. And just makes the gun look so much better. No matter how big or small the job. I highly recommend this product, 100% reliable
Pros: Ease of use, Speed, Warranty, Dependability, Quality, Comfort, Durability, Features, Serviceability, Reliability, Power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used these nail guns forever, and they still impressed me! This Y model also has the new aluminum magazine, which feeds nails, even smoother and jams, even less!

I just got this framing nailer and put it right to work on a large pole barn we are building. The crew and I love the easy adjust depth gauge and the light magazine on this nailer. The speed and power of this nailer is unsurpassed. We generally use 3 1/4" nails and this nailer runs them in just fine.
We also love the large rafter hook. Even mounted on the magazine side, we can easily hang the nailer from the trusses or sidewall girts and remove it from them with ease.
This nailer drives even in the hardest lumber we use, from the laminate posts to LVL beams, it drives them in with no problem. Coupled with our Metabo HPT Tank air compressor, this nailer has no problem keeping up with the rigors of being on a barn building jobsite. The ease of loading this nailer is very nice. The Metabo HPT 3 1/4" framing nailer is very easy to hold and maneuver all while keeping weight to a minimum. We absolutely love it.
