You can never have enough good lights.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the fact this light has 2 setting. Really wish it had 3 because even the 125 lumen can be a little bright at times. It is now my go to light for working with my laser enclosure. The 8amp battery will give me close to a 100 hours of run time, which is crazy convenient. I like that it stands on its own unlike most traditional flashlights. And, my traditional battery lights always seem to be dead. Lights like these usually come in combo packs as what feels like at after thought, but in reality I use mine constantly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for the Metabo HPT 250 Lumen LED Flashlight (UB18DEQ4). MY BACKGROUND I am a homesteader and I also own a handyman business where I do various jobs for my customers, but about 2/3 of my work is carpentry. I have high expectations for my power tools, because I need them to perform as they should so I can make money and keep the homestead operating. WHAT I LIKE: This flash light/torch is bright and shines a great distance. Our house is about 400’ from our barn and this light will light-up the entire barn while standing at the house. When I go out at night to check on the livestock I always need a flashlight and now that I have this Metabo HPT I find myself reaching for it over my traditional flashlight. I like the range of motion in the head of the light. I like how it not only points all the way up, but it also tucks down into the handle some so that you can set the light on its base and point the beam of the light downward. That feature is not common with other brands I’ve used. It has threading on both sides of the light for a belt hook. It has two brightness settings (250 and 120 lumens) and that’s a feature I’ve not seen in other brands. There is a very small red light on the top of the base that I assume is there to show you when the battery is getting low, but I don’t know for sure, because even though I’ve used this light for countless hours it has still not yet run out of battery (using the 2.0Ah 18v with the battery gage). I really like the feel of the rubber overmold on the neck/handle of the light. WHAT I DON’T LIKE: It has threading for belt hooks, but none come with it. The handle is straight and doesn’t have a good ergonomic feel. For the price they charge for these kinds of lights, it would be very nice if it were waterproof to some extent. And lastly, there is no hook anywhere on the tool. These tools are supposed to be somewhat versatile in their operation (e.g. construction, mechanic, camping, hunting, etc.). As I’ve been using it I’ve found several occasions where I’ve wanted to hang the tool, but cannot. I supposed the belt hook could help that as well. CONCLUSION: I really do like this light! Compared to other brands, it meets my expectations, while exceeding them in some ways. If you already have one from another brand then you’re not missing much, but if you don’t have one already then this is a great buy! I recommend it for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A good flashlight is as much a tool as any impact driver or saw, especially when you need one to work in a dark area. This 250 lumen light is much brighter than other lights I own that are said to be higher lumen. Whether outdoors in the dark or in a dark room this light works great both ways. It has a hybrid light pattern with a very focused beam with a long throw and a wide flood type beam up close. The run time is SPECTACULAR. I thought i'd have to run it on low to conserve battery, I did not. I've run it over 20 hours on high and there is still power in the battery for more! Not having to worry about it being dead when you reach for a needed light is a very good feeling. Ergonomics are typical Metabo HPT great. Hand feel is very comfortable. There is only one thing missing, it would be really nice to have a belt clip included as it has the slot and threaded rivit for a clip, or at least a wrist lanyard as It has a location meant for it. Still a five star tool in my opinion.

Great little light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this about a week ago and I was surprised by how much I actually like and use this light! It’s solid, lightweight, and the trigger/button feels great. This light has two brightness settings, one that is less bright for working in close quarters. My favorite feature on this light is that you can rotate the light head all of the way down to have it shine on your work space directly next to where the light is sitting. This is a home run for Metabo HPT! I will use this light regularly for work and personal use

The little directional light that could

I took both this light and the new Metabo lantern out for a camping trip with the Cub Scouts. The lantern was extremely light and replaced a couple of oil burning lanterns that we use in our meal prep. This light was used just for a late night hike, trips around the campsite and going back-and-forth to the car. It is pretty handy to have it on a hinge so that you can direct to be in where you want to if you put it down for work.

Just Right Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a while, I use a lot of flashlights in general in my lifestyle and still, having this multivolt tool batter powered light is a game changer. It's a good way to always have easy certain battery power, as long as you already have the system. Good light levels for working and seeing, not hot burnout bright, just right. Moveable head makes it easy to aim while battery keeps it stable. Good to carry over to check something out and good to set nearby and do a plumbing job or change a tire. Definitely recommended if already in the HPT system.
