I needed a machine that would repair a boat cover. I researched the web and found this was rated best . The motor was stronger than most. It did a fine job on the canvas I would recommend this machine.
I haven't sewed since I was a child, with all this going on in the world I thought it would be a great idea to get started again. The 4452 is a solid machine that will last me a long time. Set up and relearning was a breeze, and the app helps for things that you aren't sure about. It is powerful enough for heavier fabrics such as denim, but can switch over to more delicates with just a needle change. If you are on the fence, go for it! I'm glad I purchased!
Used for several heavy duty projects. Works well and is sturdy. Still struggles with some tough canvas I used for a work apron. But, mostly valuable for heavy stuff.
I replaced an older, broken Brother sewing machine with this Singer, and couldn't be happier. It was easy to load the bobbin and thread the machine, and I was sewing in no time at all. I haven't sewn anything in a few years, and my first attempts at masking face masks were successful. I'm moving on next to arm covers for the furniture in my family room. It's good to have an easy to use, sturdy machine in the house once again !
