Makes a 2nd display on M1 MacBook super easy

I struggled to get my 2nd monitor working and this adapter just helped get that working on my M1 Mac.
Make sure you install the driver to get it working.

Not working on PopOs 21 (Ubuntu 21)

I just bought this and its not working. The install files say Ubuntu 18 - 20. Does this mean that Ubuntu 21 is not supported?

Absolutely Great Product !

This Adapter Works with USB 2 ports as well and surprisingly you can get 4K resolution plus audio from it even when you connect it to a USB 2 port !!

Works well. Night light not supported

This is a great product except if you need the Windows 10 "night light" feature supported. Then it just ignores the night light setting on Windows and displays at full blue light intensity.

Dead already?

I purhcased this item less than 3 months ago and now it is dead. Using with a M1 Mac Mini and unfortunately I can not use it any longer.

Not working after some minutes

I bought this since my laptop's max output through HDMI is only 1080p. So this worked for some minutes, then it just stopped.
Tried again installing all the drivers available and again it worked... for an hour. Now it just doesn't recognize the device.

Adapter stopped working

After using this adapter with my MacBook Air m1 for a month, my adapter suddenly stopped working. I tried installing the latest drivers, plugging it into different monitors and computers but software only recognises the monitor and doesn’t display anything on it. I am beyond disappointed because when it worked it worked sufficiently for my needs, but I just can’t leave a good review if the product that i paid 140€ for stops working after a month.

Definitely recommend!

I've been using this adaptor for almost 2 years. I'm running 2 Samsung curved screens in addition to my Macbook Pro screen. It's perfect. Every time I update the OS I typically have to download new drivers, but StarTech keeps them up to date so I've been very happy.
