unreliable bad cable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cable came with my Thinkpad hybrid USB-C dock, but the displaylink dock would refused to wake up out of power savings yellow led. I thought the dock was the issue, but instead Replaced this thinkpad 03X7470 cable with another 10Gbps usb c cable and it now works perfectly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cable originally came with a Lenovo dock I purchased and I made the mistake of pulling it too hard one day and breaking it. I had connection trouble with using other USB-C cables (generic) so I finally caved and purchased this OEM cable. Works perfectly - no more stress. I will comment that it took about a week after purchase for the item to ship, not counting the days it took for the item to then arrive at my door.
The Lenovo sales person told me that this cable converts video via USB c to my USB a port.
It didn’t work though. Cable is useless to me.
