It straightens but I don't think it clamps the hair well enough. When using it I have to pinch the tip to get a firm hold on the hair. This was supposed to make straightening my thick hair it easier.

My tymo airflow pink leaves my hair looking like I just got a silk press at the salon! I absolutely LOVE IT! It's so simple to use and it's nearly impossible to end up with heat damage because of the fan! Do yourself a favor and GET IT!

I really love this straightener/curler. I usually like my hair straight but I put some curls to see if it works and it does. Please get the heat protectant mist because it's the bomb also non greasy like it says. This is the product that I've been needing.

I bought this to use on my Daughter's 4c hair, which has very thick and tight curls. This iron glided smoothly through her hair, making it so soft and silky. There was no damage, just beautiful results!

I practice using the Tymo airflow on my 96 year old friend who has gray hair. It didn't turn her gray hair yellow and the curls held for several days! She was so surprised to see her hair and asked that all my hair!Great product!

As a licensed cosmetologist for 40 + years I can honestly say this is the best electric tool I've ever used and the easiest to use as well. The photo is of a 96 year old friend who allowed me to practice with the Tymo airflow on her hair. No wig, that's all her hair! She couldn't believe her eyes when she looked at her hair! The curls lasted for several days! Also, the Tymo airflow does not turn gray hair yellow!!!

Easy glide, closest to scalp

My favorite hot tool! It glides so easily. Gentle even for processed hair. It doesn't pull because it doesn't burn the hair. It makes curling quick because I don't have to wait for the hair to cool down.
