Although this is no three fan ROG Strix GPU, it is very capable of playing any games at 1080p and 1440p resolutions. Although, I can't say how well it does for high refresh monitors (I only have 60Hz monitors for now), I can say that it can handle Cyberpunk 2077 in DLSS with Performance settings enabled at 94-140 FPS at 1440p resolution. At least, that is what the benchmark says.
I thought the fact that the card was PCIe 4.0 x8 (yes, 8 lanes) would be bad, but its actually on par with the PCIe 3.0 x16 lanes in bandwidth and I don't see any difference in it with my system. And most of my games don't even use all 8GBs either. So this is great. However, I would say if you want to future proof your system aim for the 16GB version.
Using GPU Tweak III is easy to overclock it, and the OC Scanner helps to ensure stable clocks. However, my system and this graphics card run a little warmer than I would like due to Aura Wallpaper app and how I prefer to have the GPU enhance YouTube videos and play my games on High to Ultra quality. I have had to use the GPU Tweak III utility to turn off the 0dB Mode, which causes the fans to spin all the time. This has brought down my GPU temperatures from 55C to 27C in a room at 23C.
I just wish it had an extra fan or some RGB lighting. But in a Hyte Y60 case, it fits perfectly and looks good. I would highly recommend it for a budget- to mid-range gaming PC.
