Best deal in shavers

I have this razor for two years now and will never go back to shaving cream and razor. This does not get as close a shave as a razor, but it is reasonably smooth. My only question is the series 9 that much better for a lot more money. I love this shaver!

Great razor, shaves close with an amazing battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor has surpassed all my expectations in an electric razor. I have been a blade shaver for years because I've never been able to get a really close quality shave without it. This razor hugs the face really well and doesn't pull the hair from my face like some rotary shavers have done in the past. It is extremely easy to clean which just takes seconds by just flipping the top off. The battery life is amazing as well as it's lasted 3 weeks already without asking for another charge. I've put the manual shaving to rest!

Closest shave Ive had but.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am going to compare this to my Norelco 7310 that Ive had for many years. The Braun fits great in my hands and is quite slim in the handle compared to the barrel shape of my Norelco. The Braun by FAR is the closest shave Ive ever experienced, when Im done all I feel is skin and no stubble at all. i do have some issues with having to go back over my jaw line though due to the flat head shape of the shaver itself. The BUT in my topic post comes from it being terrible if you have a goatee. It cannot get anywhere close to rounding unlike my 3 head shape on the Norelco. Ive found I have to use both to get my goatee shaped correctly. But if you do not have a goatee Id say this is the razor for you

Phenomenal results!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has very sensitive skin and forgoes shaving often because he breaks out in rashes everytime, but with this razor he hasn't. Since it arrived at our doorstep, he has used it 4 times and everytime he is thankful it doesnt cause irritation and is easy to use.
Overall the design of this shaver is gorgeous and very sleek. It isnt very heavy and the controls are on the shaver and light up making it easy to change settings without trouble finding while shaving.
The price point is perfect - and it is worth every penny of the results.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Full of Design Flaws

I've been using my Series 7 for a couple of years now. For the longest time, I encountered problems with the shaver's head popping off mid shave. I have 70 year old skin and shave following my shower. I suppose this created too much friction for the shaver to handle without using excessive care to avoid this from happening. Since then, I was able to learn to use the device with fewer interruptions at a cost of many more passes over my face with the shaver. I have also learned that the shaving head does not effectively contain the shaven hairs. This took additional time to deduce because my beard is now gray and I must shave in a seated position because I am handicapped. My cleaning station has run out of the cleaning solution and will no longer allowing charging in the stand. I don't know if refilling the stand with solution will resolve this issue, but I am unwilling to spend additional funds to find out. The display on the shaver is incomprehensible, but not as much as is the owners manual. The designs of both the shaver and stand are awful. I used to design better myself, having been an engineer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Braun does it again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have fairly sensitive skin, and little bit of eczema on my face so I am really pretty picky with what I use to shave.
I received the Braun Shaver 7020s Solo Silver US, and decided to give it a go.
It has a really good design, I love the size, it has a perfect grip. It has a 360 flex so it curves with your face. The shave is nice and smooth. It has a sensor where it adapts to your beards density, which is pretty cool.
The razor is also 100% waterproof and can be used wet or dry.
You can also click on attachments and it becomes a trimmer.
All in all it's a pretty good system.

My series 7 is a year old. It shaves well, but leaves a few longer hairs. The cleaning/recharging station is awesome. Shaved particles leak out of the pivoting head and on to my shirt and sink, which I detest.

Thanks for your praise, BillyBob, and we're sorry you're experiencing stubble leakage. The thickness of your beard as well as the frequency of cleaning the shaver head are a couple of factors that could contribute to this happening. We recommend cleaning the foil/cutter cassette thoroughly, per manual instructions, after each shave. If some hairs continue to fall out of the shaver head while you're shaving, we then recommend turning the shaver off, removing the foil/cutter cassette, and tapping it out on a flat surface in order to get rid of the stubble that may have built up. Using the cleaning brush and applying oil to the cutting part improves cutter performance and can help trap stubble in the cassette. You can also blow on both ends of the cassette to help free stuck stubble in difficult corners of the cutter head. Depending on the life span and condition of your cassette, it might be time to replace it for a new one. This should be done anyway every 18 months for optimal shaving results.
