Do not purchase. Worst stapler ever. Each time I used it the staple would get stuck in the stapler in a way that was time consuming to try to remove.

It's better than a Swingline

This Staples brand desktop stapler is a little stiff to use but more importantly there's a slot in front of the mechanism where you can flip out a staple if one gets stuck--though none has stuck even after a month of daily moderate use. My last stapler had this slot blocked with a small piece of metal soldered across it so digging out a stuck staple was next to impossible--you just had to buy a new stapler. Which I did this time a Staples brand same type of product in general but a more honest user-friendly design!

This is good stapler at an economical price. I bought this one because we like to place staplers next to the copier. Someone came to me and said "this stapler is better than the one I have - can I swap"? So I'll be ordering another!
