I failed to remember that these high capacity staplers can’t handle regular staples. I picked up the appropriate staples and the stapler is working perfectly!

I used the high capacity heavy duty staples 3/8" and the stapler bends the top of the staple instead of curling the ends. Regular staples are worthless because when I staple 40 to 60 sheets the ends barely poke through and aren't bent in correctly leaving the sharp edges sticking up.
