I've been an art teacher for 23 years and have ordered swingline and bostitch staplers for 20 of those years. A few years back I stopped in for teacher appreciation day and snagged a "staples" stapler. Haven't gone back to those "big names"---I have a drawer full of those jammed busted things to prove it!
